ECHOLOCATION
(Math Paper Press: Singapore, 2014)

Echolocation was first published by Chameleon Press, Hong Kong, in 2003. Designed by Elby Chung, it had a silver reflective cover, double-folded pages inspired by Chinese notebooks used for painting, and was handbound with bolts. In 2014, Math Paper Press, Singapore, brought this book back into print with a slim, elegant design.

“The poems deserve closer, less clichéd attention. They are reflections of sex, blood, bile, and god, and while they look like prose on the page, in the mouth they feel like poetry.”
– Jeet Thayil

“Here is a poet who works by daring - daring herself and the reader - to let go. In the best poems you hear and feel and watch a current — which straight prose insulates as meaning–go crackling from naked line to line, making the unrepeatable pattern that is momentary sense. It’s like watching lightning fork."
— Allan Sealy
